i’m still in the process of adding alot of things to it, but at least it’s a start! i apologize, but for some reason i couldn’t make it a hyperlink, so just do the old fashion copy/paste thing :-)

hmm…it’s a thought

so, joel and i were talking in cancun about the idea of me going back to school for a computer science degree…yea, that comes out as a curveball, doesn't it? of course, i'll be going to community college for an intro course to see if it's something i am interested in, however it does seem like a great idea for a couple of reasons:

1) i love computers, and i've always taught myself everything i know about them

2) english graduate + computer science degree + female = deadly combination

3) i'm way better at math than english, it's always been natural for me whereas i worked my ass off with english (proof- joel never read a thing and still got a better gpa than me)

of course, there are more things to consider as far as this idea goes, it's just a starting point as far as my future goes…so just write something about it, i'd really like some input about computer science and the idea of me going into it.

you boys like mexico?!

yes, we are back from the fabulous cancun, mexico…i am tan, whereas joel's skin decided to reflect it right back and give him a sun rash…i find it rather amusing. but good times were had for the whole week, and pictures shall be shown!

i would just like to say that getting to cancun was a bit painful since joel decided to pull an all nighter since we were being picked up at 3:30am. i decided to take a 2 hour nap…both of those were horrible ideas, hehe. we flew 5 hours to miami airport, only to walk that damned airport for 2 miles. i'm not even kidding, there are signs that tell you how long it will take you to get from one section of the airport to the next…ours probably took about 25 minutes from the time we got off the airplane to walk to the next area. sigh…but yes, 2 hour layover and then the trip to cancun. got into cancun around 8, picked up and driven to the resort in an hour….so all in all, it was a 13 hour traveling day…sucked balls pretty much…but it was all worth it!

so there was a jacuzzi in the room, and we took advantage of the fact that there was a bottle of bubbles left next to it. my bubbles!

the next couple of pictures are from our trip to tulum, it was pretty much the only trip where we actually did something for the week. it's one of the more popular places to see the mayan ruins, and it has a great view of the ocean from its cliffs.

the water is gorgeous and makes california's water look like crap in comparison, hehe. what's neat about tulum is the fact you can see the reef that runs along the coastline (the waves breaking in the pic). one of the largest reefs in the world…pretty neat stuff.

there were tons of lizards in tulum as well as at the resort. it was joel's favorite thing to look forward to when we were walking around. this was probably one of the larger iguanas we saw at the resort.

speaking of the resort, it is one of my favorite places to go to because everything is inclusive, including the 24-hour room service they have. we took advantage of that so much it was ridiculous. i am definitely tired of eating mexican food, or food in general for the time being. the drinks were great, or they just seemed that way after a couple of them. we both took advantage of the spa services available, so joel got his massages while i was "foofed up" with facials, body scrubs, manicures and pedicures. we both enjoyed that alot.

we also went to cozumel and playa del carmen with my folks and hung out at the other resorts affiliated with ours. we went snorkeling in cozumel and joel was attacked by fishies which he found entertaining.

oh! and as we were eating at cancun airport before we left, we saw this!!!!

the oh-so-delicious blue screen of death! it made joel and i laugh for a little bit :-)

ok…please explain to joel…

ok, i thought that this would be self explanatory, but joel (aka filth) is drunk and we’re enjoying the fact he doesn’t understand what this stands for…
